Today's sermon, father mentioned about the lack of priests in sg. Wills was like..." so where to get the application form??"(JOKINGLY OF COURSE) Nobody seems to wanna give their committment to serve god n god alone. I mean, who can blame them?? They prayed to land themself a good job in a respected company with alluring paycheck n rewarding bonuses. Prayed for the perfect date with the sch belle, maybe aft a few years, get hitched. And god being the almighty one...gave them what they wanted, if not they might lose faith in him. In the end... who's to serve our lord??

The world's not like what it used to be, lots of changes everyday...restriction of yesterday may very well be practice today. I don't know what im talking actually... just crapping...since it's been quite a while since i blog.

Arghhhh.... my bloody wireless broadband... ppl out there... for ur info, wireless is not a wise choice. Hmmmm... a lil update on my life these few weeks, 1've 1 more practical lesson b4 hitting TP, my FYP is doing well...(all thanks to CK), got a 1st year top student award last week(i bet alot of ppl wun believe i got it), hearing wedding bells for my sis nxt week... n she wants the brother(ME) to hold the pillow for the rings (what she think i am???? PAGE BOY??) i'll be the laughing stock... luckily i insisted on having the box. n yah... peeps out there can forget about sending me anything to my friendster... coz i can't log in. they can't find my password, n even if i reported lost of password... they didn't get back to me. my friendster acc lost....FOREVER.

Tsk... It's a joyous festive season for all... except poor ol' mel. Mum went shopping the other day, spotted a shirt and bought it on impulse for her only son. Sighhh... anyone remember the show 'in the mood for love' ? the one tony leung n maggie cheung... artistic kind... well, their soundtrack is really fantastic. Never fail to put me in a sad mood... to think about life.

I am at a lost... i dun know where to start... where to end. What should i do?? should i move on?? knowing the fact that heaven is not on my side... but ironically,the only little help i got, was perhaps sent by god himself.

Hmmmm...had a long talk with IS today... he seemed to be really troubled with his love life lately. He have no one to turn to for advise, since most of our classmates are the playful type... maybe he needed someone with older experiences... someone he looked up to....SOMEONE like me. (that came from the horse's mouth)

Life is really wicked... guys like him n a few more of my frens, though appear on the flamboyant or flirtatious side... but deep down, we are in fact down-to-earth n faithful to our partners. What i cannot tolerate in a r'ship is infidelity... SIGH.... so often i see guys or perhaps even u peeps out there noticed... that some guys plays with gals heart n changes gf b4 u can say "NewTarget" n yet, most often... the girls with these kind of guys are the kind that are faithful, n vice versus.

Here comes the question, " Only being unfaithful, will u then get the faithful gal u want,Yes?"

Sigh... dispute in a team is inevitable. as the saying goes, "u can run, but u can't hide." tml will be the day CK n KY defend themselves against QY. (as usual, names not mention to covered their identities.) But standing on the justice's side, i must admit QY was on the harsh side in treating CK n KY in that manner.

On a different note, i was out with sammy last night, went over to Lau pa sat for dinner... i must say, the stingray there is good. compare to what they serve in yishun. just spread the cheap sambal over stingray n heat it for a while n serve.*pui*
n not forgetting the satays which they r popular with, it cost 50 blardy cents now for a stick. whatever happened to the usual 30 cents or worst come to worst ,40 cents satays?? im still in shock... maybe they suspect im a caucasian,can 'tok' me....*yah rite, get real mel*

aft which, we bought some beers over to esplanade, sat down n admire the beautiful night, under the starry sky with a few dodgy clouds flying by, hinting on a possible downpour. Had some nuisance punk rockers wannabes( in a group of like 20 odd) walking pass us n the other couples... there was this particular couple beside me, the guy was like smooching his gal like a dog would to a bone, suddenly torn his lips away from his partner's n look at the punks, 1 by 1 walking pass him. haa... the looks from his eyes told me he was in a culture shock man, the rest is history... maybe he went back to searching his partner's dinner down the throat.

The blardy cable gone beserk n i din't know what happened till i clarified with experts.(im still a newbie in IT) it's down to sim lim again the nxt day.

Had to trouble sam's dad to take us down today n changed the cable. ALL THE WAY TO BLARDY SIMLIM JUST TO CHANGE CABLE. #$%@

headed back home... n guess what? none of my WinXP works to install OS as it's not system disk. sam was mocking behind...saying i looked pek chek. Ahhh...back to my shell in yishun. Was bunking over at my sis's place since last thurs. Been so long since i last stayed under same roof with sis. now that she's got her own roof... more responsibilities, more housewife-pattern(auntie) my bro in law even bought her a bicycle(those auntie go market type)*cling* *cling* "Boy ahhh... s-cue S-CUE me!"

Ever think back of the past....n reminisce on the good ol days...where u play soccer with mats at basketball court, skating on pavements, hang ard with buddies aft sch sipping coffee at some dodgy coffeeshops, chatting endlessly over the phone(back then,computers were only used in banks n science lab)...the list can go on.

Nowadays, everybody seems to be having their own life. busy working, dating,cheonging. Basically... life can nv be the same as b4...simple but happily spent. Take me for an example... I have a very skeptical fren, who so far...has nv confide his sorrows or whatsoever. I mean, it's not that i dun wanna help or listen, but he simply just dun trust ppl. Maybe it's just me... he just dun trust me, maybe he thinks i can't help much...or maybe even luff at him...which i will nv do if it's really a serious case. Why am i actually bothered by it... TSK.

Anyway... some of my frens thought i will actually discard blogging aft like 1 month or so...but looks like their intuition prove them wrong...for im in my third month of blogging now. Not that im proud to be constantly pening down my feelings n thoughts, but becoz i haven proven that if u have the heart n determination to do something...go ahead n do it. MAN... I've been attacked by viruses, n had been down with stomach flu n fever for the past few days. The pain was excruciating...considering the fact that what medication i was given was of little if not none uses. Looks like it all started back where i puked at UBER. I've got a classmate, CK(full name not disclosed to protect his identity) who has strongly left a deep memory n definitely made me change my opinion of him. For he is so emotional n full of love for his ex-gf. All this time, the only image he have is playful n so arrogant. So i guess there's a soft side of everyone... the words he wrote... really touched my heart. Too bad im not his ex-lover... for im sure she'll turn back the hands of time n cancel her last order...of breaking his fragile heart.

I hope this experience will actually strengthen his capability in dealing with similar cases next time...(ermmm...not that im cursing in yet another failed r/s) n i believe he will read this...thats y im putting it down.... I know it's abit gayish... that u get to see the other side of me... Im only human. Haa...

*Sniff* *sniffzz* AHhhh... im down with a terrible running cum 'block' nose. i'm gonna be declare bankrupt soon if i continue wasting my money filling my bin with wet,sticky,slimy,transparent mucus. bwhahaa...disgusting. do u guys know, mucus actually helps in blocking bacterias from attacking our breathing passage...or something like that. All this sneezing n blowing is due to dehydration from massive drinking n shouting in karaoke yday.(i wasn't singing) n i have to admit i suck at singing... ppl were slowing leaving the premises.

Anyway... it's been some time since i went out on a sat, as i never fail to work on sats. yday was an exception... didn't wanted to work. So anyway, went for job interview at coffee bean, but didn't take up the offer as the pay is total crap. met up with william then head down to meet 2 outrageously good looking girl frens of his, one was his former lover, the other is already attached...@#$%.

we met up with boon n jessica n a fren of mine whom has unfortunately broke off with her beau n was in despair. so being a kind n helpful gentlemen as always... i asked her to join us... lest she does something out of the norm, who knows. went for karaoke session at 'oldies' pub off sembawang road i think. I must say, service there is of unexpected quality. As there was no space for 5 of us..he actually offered us the only room...without charge. Wowww...of course we took up the offer. one room all by ourselves...without needing to squeeze with ah pehs n dodgy construction supervisors look-alikes with a couple of ladies by the bar. It's been so long since i held a mike n croaked, felt embarassed...but was relieved when i heard boon singing...he's no better.bwhahaa... Will definitely head back to that place again, I always believe in good service...

AHHhhhh.... Got such a relieve when teacher was marking my ppr just now. only 2 wrongs out of 30... which was quite fruitful for something like a last min studying. stayed up for like 6 hours yday to force every impt notes into my stubborn brain. had to to coax it every now n then with soothing music n chatting on MSN. Did i mention that there was another test as well?? n i think i did well for it as well... have to thank Lord almighty above.

Went for my driving practical at ssdc just now. met Dennis over at that side...he's learning how to ride a bike, but he drives a BMW. i own a riding license, but learning how to drive... So ironic. So anyway...instructor complimented on my driving skills...said im good enuff to jump 3 places up. Ahhh...so many fortunate things happening to me today...feel so lucky. maybe i should hang ard under my blk ltr 0n...might bump into a quickie or maybe stumble upon a suitcase of cold hard cash....Whoo0oho00oo0....~~~

My dad's classmate of like 30 years ago flew down for a visit today. bought chilli crab,local dish like rojak, n sg's local desserts aft meal like cheng teng,ice kachang,watermelon sago. Learn alot from him too...told us marvelous stories of his sailor life.(used to be sailoring but retired now)

Damn... having 2 test on fri... must really score well. slack for last term...can't afford to get border marks this time. ohhh... wellll...

Went out with my former camp mates yday. Seems like just a few days back, that the rest n I got tekan by our RQ sir, AW SING HOCK aka Tiger AW. If u guys think commando's training of dunking is sheer torture... haa, u ain't seen the world yet, u'll feel bliss getting dunked.
Anyway... met up with jacky,weiti n kelly. There were a few more, but i shall not disclose their identities for it's totally unnecessary. Had some chitchatting, got into each other's lifes... but the thing that bothers me is... they're all smokers.

Nearly died of asphyxiation *1st-blew smoke away from face, 2nd-inhaled, blew smoke away again:repeat step 1 n 2*
Im not discriminating smokers or whatsoever, but i believe u should spare some thoughts for ppl who doesn't smoke. Try to avoid blowing smoke in their direction, or sit away. The reason y they dun smoke...is becoz they bother to keep themselves alive, stay healthy n love their body.
The best experiences is from someone who has been there done that...

Im beginning to detest staying home. Used to run out n create nuisance with the gang, out in town, clubs, pubs...u name it. But guess it nv was meant to be, coz i got bored of it like when i was 20. Hated cheonging as the crowd comes in...everybody is at it nowadays. wasn't like it when i started...at least there's some space for u to move ard... NOW??? can't even breathe at times when it's packed with people of all stinks,let alone move. But aft hibernating for like 2 years now... 24/7 staying home, loneliness hits me... (WHAM !!!) JUst like that. Not that im thinking of clubbing again, but staying home the whole time is not healthy to u either. The key word here is MODERATATION, too much of the same thing is no good. Lesson learnt, nxt time... do things moderately, spread it out. No more hardcore Mel.

damn... i swear im gonna change into a new job,a new environment, new faces, new boss, n new outfit. Caesars is consuming all my drive in working. I NEED n i repeat, I NEED a change of job.
Been feeling rather restless these days, maybe it's the singlehood biting into me, screwing effortlessly into my skull or maybe it's the empty pocket... forcing me to stray in my thoughts. who wants to hire an assasin? Im asking for a mere $1000 for a head.NO GST...!!!

Anyway...stumbled onto melvin yday at 925 with a bunch of cuties when i was heading to get my hair snipped. Must have been eager to continue on her show, coz she only took like 10 mins to get it all done, and well... lets just say they're gonna have $14 lesser to earn each month.

Met up with jessica aft that for dinner, n we cramped in with melvin n company. had small bites into each other's life n i must confess, it's really pleasing to have conversation with jessica. she's such a cutsie n always grumbling about certain stuffs, with that yet-to-mature voice of hers to add on.

My...absences make the heart grow fonder. daniel hasn't been ard msn for a couple of weeks, only appeared for like 10 mins to have his dosage of updates from good ol'pal melvyn.
Sometimes... I would reminisced on good old days like the countless efforts of fishing be it rain or shine. stroll the streets at town, with gals flocking behind william. once that was this gal who rush to our front n shuff a crumpled pc of ppr into william's hand. We thought she was going to attack us,nearly gave her a treat of my long gone nike shoes. sometimes, occasionally, once in a blue moon, from time to time, this vile thought sneak into my mind, urging good ol'melvyn to start finding another part time job. WHY?? because the current job im having, is B O R-ING. i don't learn anything new from it, let alone gain any experiences, just be present, n stand there till it's time to close for the day.
got a call from supervisor, has an available slot on sun n asked whether im interested. the reason y i don't go for sun becoz i need to be present for my weekly mass. n sunday is so the time to rest at home b4 mon hit us hard don't u think?? Telephone is a really convenient means of communication. but sometimes, u just hate it when it's ringing when ur having meals, n when im about to pick it up... it stopped. "ARghhhhh!!!"
So anyway... eileen wanted me to teach her step by step on reformatting her com. although im no expert in this, but i taught her what i knew, thru the phone that is. i mean, it's quite a hassle to teach ppl certain stuffs on the phone don't u think?? well, somethings are meant to be....

Updates updates... i swear i just type an essay of what i did today. Been to old folks home to continue on my quest in cleaning up that place. Im so dead bush now... woke up at 8.30am,clean the place up till 3pm, came back home changed and head to church, came home n started typing non stop till now. i terribly need something to calm me down now... beer??

"huff...huff...huff..." MAN, i should constantly go jogging instead of going when i feel like it. just came back from my 3k run,which felt like 5, Feeling fitter by the minute already.

Guess what?? 1/2 hour later... wannabe gandalf came in again, submissive to temptation... wanted to buy yet another sword, "sword of ringwraith". Of course part of the credit goes to me,salesman of the year(WHOA LIKE REALLLLLL AH). He Made purchase yet again... handed card over to smiley me... n the rest was history. but too bad i missed target by 2 more hundreds...damn, it's $30 more u know...

Why will i touch on this topic, u asked. Well... it's not like i nv use it b4, i do use it to clean up my basin at home. But the real challenge was given to me today, at 'peace-connect', this old folks home located at north bridge road. Me and my fellow comrades were fighting hand in hand in our little battle with FLITH. Boy, that place must have been left unclean for like 1-2 years. The amount of dust on the fans, cupboards, lighting cases...can fill up to like 5 bags of ur vacuum cleaners. Given some briefings, then we were assigned to our 1st n toughest enemy, "THE SHUTTER".
Aft like 1/2 hour of scrubbing n wiping due to heavily coated grease n dust on the shutters(those type of metal gate at goldsmiths shops), my fren suggested using "JIF" hidden away in the kitchen. What do u know... in no time, we're done with the 4 shutters, We still have the fans n lighting cases, but those are peanuts compare with metal door.
Well...job's not complete as we only did half the place, heading down again this sun... join me anyone?

"TI...TITITI...TITITITI..."(Hp alarm went off) i hate the morning, esp when i drink till the wee hours and having to wake up at 6.30, not forgetting owning a hangover. But i still forced myself away from bolster, and rush to wash up.(im actually late for class)
So anyway... entered class at 8.45 when im supposed to be spotted at the front table with my books open at 8. nothing special happened... but im damn disappted with my test results. I scored a total letdown score of 60 for D-COM. My results have been deteriorating... guess i must be too slack over the months as cocky-ness grew in me as i always score A's for exams. Confidence is good, but over confidence will kill u.
So class ended early today...
i have this "contribute to society" day for me. wanna know more?? check it out later...

Simplicity is after all the best, if you'll ask me. Take me for an example, I had my blog given a make over,took me like 2-3 hours, with cute background, scattering stars when click on the mouse & an attempt to blind my viewers with colours when they open it up. But what i get in return?? NEGATIVE remarks from all over. Don't get me wrong, I mean, i like to hear comments n suggestions... and i'm all ready to change if it'll serve me better. So there u go... something simple n easy on the eyes. Don't bother reaching for a sunglasses now.

Thought it 2 be quite enlightening...so i thought it might do some help to inject into u peeps, clicking thru my blog. Remaining sermon was a mixture of thinking of my past(back then,when im 17,had some illusioning feats) n pastor's booming voice.
Went over to this restaurant serving thai cusines for my father's bday celebration. He's hitting 56(hmmm...or is it 57) this coming 22nd... n I must say, this guy is one of the best father u can wish for. "DAD, even though u arn't gonna read this,(coz he's compy illiterate) just want to take this chance to write it down somewhere...that u've taken a great deal of effort, to bring me up. Thank you."
Anyway,this restaurant is doing well, food's good,cheap...n most of all, the service. Im sure heading back again if given the chance. trying to learn how to cook up oatmeal prawns. anyone interested in being my shifu??

Had to work today...been some time since i stepped foot into far east. someone special surprise me by dropping in on me. Used to be my customer, but im fortunate to have her as my fren now. She seemed troubled, heard bits n pieces of her torment, didn't have the chance to probe her further. My partner had everything under control...
Lunchtime, and i've been craving for this chicken chop rice since last night...so i called in to order.it used to be $3 for it, but now...it's $3.50(if i wanted an egg) i felt ripped off... but at the thought of tasting egg, i just couldn't resist.Aft lunch,everything goes on as per normal...monotonous style. Read this book,about communicating well, n to present yourself by larry king... time passes real quick and b4 i knew it...it's time to head home. Another day has gone...it will NOT return.

*Chey* been trying so hard to type into this textbox, but bloggy here don't allow me...wasted my already little time left for the nite.
Ahhh... been up to my "learn a new skill" program each holidays, and i cooked up black pepper crayfish & angkar prawns today. had the kitchen in total mess, but the end result was fruitful. steamy red crayfish,prawns & eggs(had to cook just 1 egg,it's sacred, n serving's for 2) garnished with tomatos & cucumbers. hmmmm... it's not exactly what i expected it to be, let's just say i'll stick to macdonalds or chicken rice, OR find a wife who cooks well.
anyway...had a tok with sis when we went for dinner at sakae sushi,bugis. i kinda feel sad for her, got this family problem of hers(she's married), n the only thing i can help,is to be there for her...listen and advise, if possible.
don't u think that night always come flashing thru ur life?b4 i realise, it's time to head home, so much things to do... yet so little time. Send eileen home,(she was with me the whole story) then head home to continue my VB, this project is stealing my time away, hate it... *SIGH* Well, just some adjustment to make b4 i hand it over to my partner in sch. N guess what?? wills called to announces his success in obtaining his advance theory...aft taking like 4-5 of it.Haa...really admire his perseverance.

Sighh... what a long day. went over to eileen's in the morning. luckything i step out of my hse early, or else i'll appear at her doorstep, SOAKED. had to print this project of mine, since i dun have a printer at home, and i promised her that i'll accompany her to the dentist aft all that's done. Anyway, her teeth were sparkling when she came out, good job. Had to rush home aft that, ah seng needs to use my compy for some work,looks like i gotta charge him. been coming over to my place without fail each day, either to surf net,or play CS. but what r good pals for, welcome him with open arms...then there's this VB project i have to rush,B4 deadline approaches.mind went blank when i opened it up. 'WHAT THE HELL??" so many codings...my hands were resisting to type on the keyboard. yup...2 hours went by...n guess what? just manage to modify abit. maybe i'll fair better tml...
